SAIRAC Technical talk series: Covid-19 and how it will influence designs in the future – Michael Young on 9th June 2020
Covid-19 has changed the economy and caused many countries to implement a compulsory type of behavior called “Social distancing”. The way we behave is not the only thing that has changed, the spread of the disease has also changed the way air conditioners are currently been designed. We will share the design requirements of an HVAC system for a Covid-19 laboratory as set out by the World Health organization and discuss the implementation of features such as UV-C lamps and how they may be able to help in the fight against Covid-19.
