SAIRAC awards ‘best student’ in PE

The Port Elizabeth Centre of SAIRAC congratulated Ruth Serfontein on her outstanding academic achievements in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Nelson Mandela University by awarding her the ‘Best Student’ floating trophy and a cash prize.

In recognition of her achievements, Piet le Roux of the South African Institute of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (SAIRAC) awarded Serfontein the SAIRAC floating trophy as well as R1 000, and wished her all the best for a successful future in engineering.

SAIRAC annually selects a top student at the university for this award and this year Serfontein was selected as she was the best student in her class for mechanical engineering, including best student in Thermodynamics 4 and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning 4.
