During the 24 May meeting of the SAIRAC Port Elizabeth centre, representatives of Carel Controls Durban presented on some exciting new technology available in the industry.
The South African Institute of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (SAIRAC) PE centre held its May talk at the Little Walmer Golf Club where Ben Sieweke and Stuart Williams from Carel Controls handled the technical talk of the evening.
Receiving their fan course certificates, from left are: F Vermeulen, E Zdanow, D Schmidt, R van Zyl and I Jaylarnie.
Between them they covered a variety of topics, including high efficiency condensing units and the latest in HVAC&R monitoring systems, PLC and HMI technology and electrical expansion valve technology.
Ben Sieweke (left) and Stuart Williams from Carel Controls Durban were the presenters of the night.
Sieweke works as a customer support engineer at Carel and is electrically trade tested. He has been with the company for over two years and has worked in the industry for more than six and a half years. While Williams is the regional sales manager at Carel, where he’s been for five years. He is refrigeration trade tested and has been in the industry for almost 20 years.

During the event certificates were also handed out for the successful completion of the association’s fan course.
