SAIRAC JHB’s most recent monthly meeting provided a platform for members to network, catch up on industry and association announcements, receive training certificates and listen to the monthly guest speaker
The Johannesburg branch of the South African Institute of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (SAIRAC) held its most recent monthly technical meeting at the Bryanston sports club, its regular venue.
SAIRAC president Grant Laidlaw made a few announcements that included plans of putting a southern African ASHRAE chapter together, as well as putting together a SAIRAC conference in Cape Town in 2017, with a theme of sustainability.
Moses Mngomezulu was awarded a certificate for completing a SAIRAC course in advanced psychometrics, while Jannie Potgieter was awarded a certificate for completing a course in load estimating.
Institute member and Samsung system engineer Rishaan Ragobeer presented the evening’s technical talk, which encompassed the DVM chillers, DVM S 30HP and DVM Eco, along with the newly-launched Samsung 360 Cassette.
Ragobeer gave a comprehensive breakdown on each product, placing strong emphasis on ease of installation and sustainability. He was also given a certificate in recognition of his recent election as a SAIRAC member.
The evening concluded with drinks, snacks and networking opportunities.
